Laguitao is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Philippine National Police with over 20 years of professional experience where she held key roles in operations, investigations, and strategic planning. Atty. Laguitao holds a Juris Doctor degree from Arellano University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety from the Philippine National Police Academy. She also completed studies in Chinese Language and Culture at Huaqiao University in China and took 50 credits in engineering at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
